Shop Manager - Chipping Sodbury

The Role

Location: Chipping Sodbury Shop

Hours: Full time (37.5 hours) to include Saturdays

We are looking for a Shop Manager to join our Chipping Sodbury team. You will be responsible for the day to day running of the shop, managing the team and be the face of the Hobbs House Bakery brand. You will be able to lead and communicate effectively with the rest of the team, demonstrate excellent customer service and product knowledge, and be passionate about our bread, cakes and coffee! You must be able to work effectively and efficiently under pressure.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Planning and managing staffing needs (produce weekly rotas, manage annual holidays)
• Ensuring a full, enticing and relevant food offering and retail display is present throughout the trading window
• Ensuring all daily and weekly administration tasks are fully compliant (includes cashing up daily and weekly)
• Ensuring that all shop staff are trained in a timely manner and training records are updated accordingly
• Ensuring continuous and effective communication with team members
• Providing and maintaining an inviting and relaxing space for customers to enjoy in the garden
• To lead by example and coach the team to provide excellent customer service at all times
