One of our favourite family traditions has always been Boxing Day Pizza; a sensational way to use up any Christmas leftovers use may have. Use with our Sourdough Pizza Balls, delivered to your door or making your own using our recipe.
Take your pizza dough out of the freezer and place into the fridge to defrost until the next morning.
On Boxing Day morning, take your dough out to come up to room temperature, ready for a lunchtime feast!
Pre-heat your frying pan in the oven at 250*C (or as high as it will go).
Sprinkle the dough with Semolina flour and gently press out into a flat disc.
Pick up the dough by one edge, stretching the dough between your hands as you rotate the pizza. As the disc grows in size, you can move the dough onto your knuckles, gently stretching apart (check out our video to see this in action)
Carefully take your hot pan out of the oven, place on a heat proof surface.
Lift your pizza into the pan, the base will now begin to cook, and we are ready for topping.
This bit is down to personal preference, but we like to start with a drizzle of Olive oil, followed by a layer of cheese and the rest of the toppings. Season with salt and pepper.
Cook for 5 - 10 minutes until golden brown, enjoy delicious Boxing Day Pizza!
