  • Fareshare FIGHTING HUNGER – TACKLING FOOD WASTE

We believe, and you probably know already, that bread made by hand at Hobbs House Bakery is too flippin' good to throw away. Food waste is this country's massive stinky secret, and all the while demand for food banks has trebled in the past year to keep apace with the ache of food poverty in this, the eighth richest country in the world. It's disgusting.

    WHAT WE'RE DOING ABOUT IT
For nearly four years now, we've been carefully packing each suitable, unsold loaf at the end of each day in our shops at Hobbs House Bakery, immediately freezing them down and dutifully sending them out once a week to Fareshare in Bristol, where it's really needed.
