Great taste awards 2014

Last week the winners of the Great Taste Awards 2014 were announced and we are delighted that our St Martin sourdough won an award.

Here is what the judges said,

Amazing size with a very attractive appearance. Cuts well. The size works for and against it. For a refectory table with lots of people, it would be a stunning centre piece. Delicious sourdough aroma and excellent texture with spring and a pleasing chewy crust. Tasty, tangy rye flavours with pleasing salt levels. An excellent loaf.

We agree. this is a spectacular loaf full of flavour and with a wonderful chewy crust. Beautifully decorated.

Nice looking loaf. Good flavour, good authentic holes in the loaf.
