At Hobbs House Bakery we take your privacy as seriously as we take our bread. Our revised privacy policy is in line with GDPR laws that came into place on the 25 May 2018.
This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from Hobbs House Bakery or sign up to our newsletter.
WHY WE COLLECT YOUR DATA
At Hobbs House Bakery we use your details to process orders and keep you updated on our products and service most relevant to you through our customer email newsletter. We will only email you if you have agreed to receive our newsletters or if it is regarding an order you have placed with us.

You have provided us with your information either through purchasing from us or signing up to our email newsletter.
PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT
When you visit the Site;

Additionally when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information using PayPal (including credit card numbers, email address, and phone number. We refer to this information as “Order Information”.
WHEN WE’LL SHARE YOUR DATA
We also use external companies, our website is hosted by Shopify and our newsletter is sent via Klaviyo. All of these hold your details securely in accordance with their privacy policies. These companies will hold your data for the duration of their agreement with us. We will not share your details with any other companies.
HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
(When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information.) We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfil any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to: - Communicate with you; - Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and - When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or promotion relating to our products or services. - We will only share your data to ensure we deliver the best service for you, eg, to our courier so they can deliver your order.
We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimise our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).
SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us deliver our product and services to you. CCTV
To ensure your safety and for the prevention and detection of crime, CCTV is in operation within in some of our premises. The CCTV data is retained for 14 days.
Please note if we are requested to provide CCTV images of you or any other personal information relating to you by police or any other government authority investigating suspected illegal activities, we are obliged to do so.
ETHICAL MARKETING
We don’t currently use any targeted advertising through our website.
We occasionally use sponsored posts on social media that provide targeted marketing.

When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.
